Hewlett Packard, Redington open first digital press centre in Chennai

The centre set up at a cost of $3 million is equipped with HP Indigo 5900, 7900 and the latest 12000 Digital Presses. It also has a wide range Pre-Press and software solutions

Hewlett Packard and Redington Ltd have launched India’s first Indigo Centre of Excellence in Chennai to showcase latest HP Indigo Digital Press technologies.

This includes Pre Press, Post Press and Web-to-Print solutions for commercial, photo, publishing and labels and packaging segments.

Customers visiting the centre can experience end-to-end solutions.

The centre set up at a cost of $3 million is equipped with HP Indigo 5900, 7900 and the latest 12000 Digital Presses. It also has a wide range Pre-Press and software solutions, including Esko Graphics, Haiyaa, Colour Logic, Human Eyes, Enfocus and HP Mosaic.

The Centre is also equipped with a wide range of finishing equipment’s, says a joint press release. Inaugurating the centre Alon Bar Shany, General Manager, HP Indigo division, said, the centre is for customers who are new to the HP Indigo family of digital offset printing presses.

It will give customers a hands-on experience of products and enhance technical knowledge, enabling them to make the most of their HP Indigo Presses.

Kasturi Rangan, Wholetime Director, Redington, saidthe HP Indigo 12000 digital press offers two sides photograph printing and guarantees photo life of up to 200 years.
